About Me

Lindsay is currently in her last year of study in the Architectural Engineering program at Penn State University with a focus in construction management. This past summer Lindsay interned with Gilbane Building Company in Washington, D.C.. Prior to this internship Lindsay interned at Reuther+Bowen, an engineering, design, and construction services firm in Scranton, PA. These experiences have helped develop Lindsay's knowledge of the construction process by having the opportunity to work on both the design and construction sides of a project.

While at Penn State Lindsay has been a member of the Student Society of Architectural Engineers, has been actively involved with THON being on a committee each year, and has been a mentor for LifeLink, a program for students with special needs. Outside of school Lindsay spends her time working her part-time job and volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and with local museums. Lindsay enjoys running marathons, skiing, and spending time with her friends and family.

While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work‐in progress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Lindsay Smith. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design.
